I've not always been the size I am. I have been a size 20 and a size 4. If you struggle with weight, I totally get it. If you want to give up, don't. Whether you lose a pound ever again is not the point. Loving yourself enough is. For example, the 1st time I attended college, I was asked to leave a couple of months early and lost all credit. Although I wasn't a criminal, I was a prisoner to self destruction. I eventually returned, worked to pay my tuition and did very well because I had learned to love me.
I love myself enough to admit that I am terrified of snakes and be okay with that. Actually, terrified isn't the right word. Petrified and horrified. Several years ago, Tony and my kids called for me from the backyard as if there was an emergency. As I ran around the corner of the house, I was greeted with a garden snake being held in the hands of one of three little blessings in my life. I ran into the house and locked the door to keep the snake out, not my kids. (Yes, I know garden snakes are harmless...)
In addition to those crazy people, I live with a chihuahua, a hamster and 4 fat fish. The chihuahua dog makes me crazy, the hamster keeps me awake at night and the fish are fat,not pregnant .Less than three miles from home is a barn full of horses, one of which is ours. Horses are not my passion but they have become a focal point in my life because I go (drive) where my kids go! Georgia Legacy (Legs) is a recent addition to our family and costs more to feed than seems possible although this should come as no surprise to me since this is our 2nd horse. At almost 4 years old, she is a retired racehorse being rehabilitated and trained by our oldest daughter.
There is now a test to measure how tired we are. Ha! Like we need to pay money to find that out. Being tired will never keep me from adoring my friends, company, coffee, red wine and girls nights out. I am in love with my husband and love being married. It hasn't always been that way. It has survived death, life, sickness, health and too many selfish choices. My life is a series of miracles and my marriage is definitely one of them.
I have two children in public school and one that is homeschooled. I am involved in all of their classes-in school and at home. They are where they need to be and I am incredibly proud of all of them. I love spending time with our kids!
Sweats, tshirts, shorts, pajama pants and old worn out jeans make me very happy. Dresses and skirts - not so much. I've always dressed for comfort and it's how I will always be.
I'd love to start a support group for teenage girls who are either pregnant or just became moms and spend time with them on the beach. I'd also love to adopt children. I will do both.
